       @lauren Agree on the analysis, but let’s remember that Twitter now works well because it’s a news platform. But it wasn’t born as such, it was instead a social platform. This is where Mastodon probably is now, but unless there are big players, media, institutions, etc. it won’t be used as Twitter is, where searching and last minute news are key instead. I’m personally still on Twitter, but I’m not posting anymore or seek connections. I try to “not feed the beast” and instead engage in interesting conversations here. And indeed thank you for spawning this one.
