Has anybody else noticed that with the camera lens on a #Pixel 6a, particularly bright spots like the flame on a candle can create corresponding artifacts in the final image? They usually present as a blue dot or circle that, in videos, you can watch move around relative to where the bright spot is.Here's a screenshot of a video clip of my son's birthday cake the other day. Stills with the lights on look fine, but with the lights off we get these. Something to do with exposure?#Photography

I wonder if it's some kind of refraction or reflection caused by the gap between the protective outer glass and the actual lens of the camera.

@rms I think their big goal at this particular point in time is to squash dissent with regards to Israel and Palestine. They have conflated anti-Zionism with antisemitism and are cracking down on anyone who criticizes our unwavering support of the Israeli genocide of Palestinian civilians. The result of these efforts will most likely disproportionately affect Muslims.

@repeattofade Surprised they don't have it hard wired to the battery with a sense wire connected to accessory power. That way it could sense when the bus is off and go to sleep under normal conditions, with the option of staying powered on long enough to finish updates in a situation like this.

I've modified it to ask for a target server and save that to a hidden config file (~/.apcz.conf) and then read from that for all future runs. Added some error checking around this to give useful feedback in the event of a problem too.Link: https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/4873788

The #VA is no longer non partisan. Since the takeover by president bone spurs and the purging of non loyalists, emails I get from them, instead of being apolitical, tactful and informative, now regularly blame Democrats for any problems we #veterans might have. I got an email today letting us know what services would or wouldn't be affected by the shutdown and they felt the need to take jabs at Democrats, despite the fact Republicans control the house, the senate and the presidency.#Military

@GossiTheDog Didn't they get yelled at a year or so ago because of some breach of government systems that didn't get caught because they were charging extra for event logging or something? Kinda feels like if somebody is paying for your product, they should get the whole product, not just bits and pieces.
