       @cdmnky so what i'm wondering about here:1. what is the malicious intent? how does this add extra tracking capabilities to facebook (presumably for ad targeting or some such)2. how to circumvent, apart from leaving facebook (which my mother won't): for now, i'm only sending deep links to photos of her grandkids to her, not sharing the photos over messenger; i wonder if facebook crawls this and does something nasty with them.3. fucking facebook, man...

       @cdmnky but (i wonder) if i share a link to eg. a google photos album, do they crawl, then precache, and inevitably tag the images?... (adding insult to injury, in this scenario google presumably already did the same...)

       @noelreports in the scientifically comprehensive "fucking around / finding out" framework of things the EU is currently entering the "finding out" stage regarding hungary. they neglected to properly address the situation of orban and now they are getting on "the wrong end of the dick", as we used to say in hungary. Orban has implemented jack shit that made rule of law better but they need his vote, so concessions are needed.
