@stux It kind of reminds me when I switched to Linux. You fight the urge to go back. People seem to come here dip their feet in the water and run back to what they know. It's what it is unfortunately.

@CliffWade I loved G+ when it was a thing, Mastodon is pretty much my G+ replacement. I joined FB early on but after G+ I almost never checked it. After a life altering event I almost never checked anything especially FB. I would guess I have checked FB around a dozen times in 7 years.

@stux True Enron story, I moved from NY to NC and started working a new job at IBM. A friend I worked with in NY called to tell me of a "great job" he got working for an Energy company in TX and was trying to recruit me. I told him of my new job situation and said I would like to see it through for a bit. A few months later he called [slightly panicked] asking if my section in IBM was hiring [we were not]. Of course Enron was all over the news at this point. He ended up moving back to NY.
