@SDF Guess that depends upon where you work and wether you have been warned that all communications will be logged. I hope most of us know better than to use Teams for personal communications...with "friends".

@ParadeGrotesque I can see wanting the LDAP integration to allow a single point to control access, but if something happens to LDAP the integration needs to fail in a way that doesn't prevent emergency access.My last job, running an isolated controls network inside a public utility company, we intentionally did not integrate LDAP authentication into our switches, CIMC and hypervisors as a security measure.

@Ricardus Here too, fired up the electric mattress warmer thing last night. Hoping it doesn't get so cold this year that we will need the electric blanket too. With both on, it is almost impossible to get out of bed to brave the cold.

@ParadeGrotesque Our power went out yesterday (at our all electric house), but they rolled trucks and had the power back on in under an hour. Very thankful for those working out in the elements to keep the rest of us safe and warm.

@publius @ParadeGrotesque I didn't get too outraged. I don't usually come back to town for lunch, but it was cold and we had leftover chili in the fridge. The outage gave me an excuse to hit my favorite BBQ joint for my favorite sandwich; turkey, jalapeno and monterey jack cheese sausage on Bavarian with plenty of mustard. By the time I got back from lunch they were in the process of restoring the power.

@izaya In my perfect world, we would all be running an appliance at home, that would participate in the new distributed web. This appliance would have a simple web interface (for those non-technical folks) who may only want the caching functions. For those of us more technical people, it could be our authoritative DNS (traditional and Blockchain), host our blogs, videos and other content. Caching servers (and other appliances) would sync and share our data with the world.
