Often times a lot of people bash the fediverse as they see the fact that this is "needed" as a flaw, but you should do this on any platform no matter if it's corpo ran or not. This post isn't my intention and hopefully doesnt come off that way.Catastrophic failure isn't limited to volunteer and hobby run projects, things happen. The internet is forever until it isn't, and it's worth taking your time to at least reflect and consider if backing things up is worth it to you.

Tbh in spite of some of the bad I’ve experienced here on the fediverse, I’ve made a such super cool diverse set of friends from so many different communities on here and actively rekindled my love of computers. I’ve also learned so many awesome things about different communities I rarely interacted before signing up for mastodon or even would come across with outside of the fediverse due to algorithmic recommendations. My bubble is broken here, and I’m more than ok with that.

I woke up today to the saddest attempt I’ve ever witnessed in my life of a bot spam wave attempt on my lemmy instance that focuses on books. I got like 20 account requests and most are just random book titles but…. This one is just sad 😂

Did you know that it’s actually best to put on antiperspirant (the deodorant WITH aluminum salts) on at night before bed? It trickles down into the sweat gland to block sweat in the first place.
