       @leo I hope the perceived difficulty of joining mastodon might act as a filter, keeping the absolute numbers down (until someone finds a way to make money simplifying the process). I agree with the thoughts of @artsyhonker and  @User47 in their replies.

       @leo really enjoyed yesterday’s TWiG. Not so much the yelling, but the fact that people who had strongly held opinions were swayed by the opinions of others. That’s how a good discussion and debate work. This is an interesting point in history. We have a chance to ditch one way that has become corrupted and support a new way that has positive potential, especially for users over owners.
