       I just landed here on toot.cat a few days ago, followed some people, shared some photos and some articles, and I think it's time I said, "Hi!"I'm not new to Mastodon, having had my first account on mastodon.social back in 2018. I now have two accounts, this one and @garry@mstdn.social and I hope to use each of them to share different things. I've taken photography seriously since 2007 and in recent years have been mainly shooting street, and these are the photos I've been sharing on mstdn.social. I want to go back to photographing other subjects as well, and feel that they might fit better here on toot.cat, though some will naturally fit both on this account and over on the other account.My other interests are tech, science, health, the environment, and related subjects, and I curate a few articles per week from various sources. Hopefully, I'll mostly be sharing the good news here. We get enough of the bad news in mainstream media and on commercially-run social media.Right now I'm likely to follow you if you wield a camera, whether you consider yourself a pro, an amateur, or just someone with a camera. Once I'm settled in, I'll also be looking for people posting articles on my other interests.
