Good for DigitalOcean to take things seriously. If you don't explicitly tell them that your Marketplace app does not have exposure to the log4j vulnerability they'll remove you from their marketplace.

Wasn't able to complete the Pop_OS update. When I searched the web for the error I got to an issue @aral filed over a year ago. This is my sign to deal with it some other day.

I watch Star Trek: Discovery now like it's a part time job that I agreed to take on to help a friend. Like, it's fine, and I'm happy to be supportive of this thing they're doing. But, I could probably find other things to do.

I just saw one of my favorite internet radio stations has a 320k stream. But ultimately it doesn't sound much better than their 128k stream because they compress the audio (not digital compression, audio post-processing compression) so aggressively that the audio is drained of its life. Unfortunate.Teach your kids about the loudness wars so they don't repeat the sins of past generations.

@jch It's just a very different culture. On Twitter you can look up #sanfrancisco and see where people are meeting up and you can join them for a beer. On the Fediverse it's very anonymous and people aren't looking to grow their circle.
