@bifpowell I would hate to be the pilot assigned to that thing. "She'll hold together... C'mon baby, hold together..." 😬

@Alphakilopapa @RyanG My current theory (untested) is that the Romans didn't have CMVs (or any motor vehicles) driving up and down their roads at 70mph carrying multiple (tens of) tons of cargo 24/7/365. The Romans didn't salt or de-ice their roads either.

@Alphakilopapa @RyanG I agree. Our taxes go to anything/everything except that which would directly benefit the taxpayers.

@Foneguy89 why am I not surprised? Next, we will see a student fail a math quiz. Because they wrote "true" for the question "1+2 always equals 3" (because some people have defined 2 to mean 4, and we should be inclusive and respect/celebrate their truth).

@BlueDouche @Bedlambegats I don't recall the conversation or the context. Was it something about using human manure to grow the crops?

@SirPaulCouture did you try using goat networking instead of bridge (or any of the other options)? I've used that to bypass the significant performance bottlenecks I've run into with docker.

@Sirtruckdriver @DaddyO I'd say, based on your example photo, that they've simply scraped off some of the factory screen printing and the reprinted/painted over that area. Or they have blank Minifigures bodies that they then print on. The item in the photo doesn't look 3d printed at all.

@DaddyO @Sirtruckdriver here's one example: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TxK-rkMM9ao im sure it's pretty standard. Sometimes it may be painted by hand. Dunno how well that works for Lego. But you know there are thousands of people that paint miniatures (like Warhammer figurines, etc).

@mhjohnson The smart power meters use the power lines for communications (at least where I'm at). Source: I have a contact in the local power company.

@jessecoynelson @electronwarier I prefer the last option. Not only does it assert my right privacy, but it also implies "no."

@Cbrooklyn112 @the0ther iirc, you need to test the voltage while trying to start the car to get a good picture of the battery status. e.g. if it drops below about 9.6v while starting, you need to replace the battery soon.

@ThatCrazyDude third option: don't field terminate patch cords. Your time is worth more than the potential savings.

@ThatCrazyDude I hear that. I guess it should be "avoid field terminating patch cords if possible." My second rule (well, more of a guideline), would be: If you're running a permanent cable, terminate it on jacks on both ends and use preterminated patch cords to plug into the devices on each end.
