Riak can also use Leveled, a pure Erlang implementation of LevelDB: https://github.com/martinsumner/leveledI forgot whether Leveled is used for both the AAE (anti-entropy) layer and the vnode store in Riak.VerneMQ can use Leveled too, both for the anti-entropy layer as well as the message store.

For Anti-Entropy Riak can use tictactree: https://github.com/martinsumner/kv_index_tictactree(based on Merkle trees).VerneMQ uses SWC (server wide clocks, no Merkle trees) for anti-entropy as a default, but also has an older implementation using Merkle trees (plumtree).
