@satanasur I'm not particularly eager to work with ad-hoc programming languages like Godot script. Also, the game industry is becoming too political, so I am afraid that intolerant zealotry may arrive at game engines too.

@ThatWouldBeTelling I plan to become influential in the Ruby community and have good reasons for that. The two most influential people in the community are Yukihiro Matsumoto and David Heinemeier Hansson. Matsumoto is a center-left Mormon; he rejected a more radical code of conduct for his language and used something reasonable. David Heinemeier is a radical leftist but is fair enough to accept people from different political views. The most influential Ruby developer in Brazil is Fabio Akita, a libertarian. So we have reasonable people at the top of the community.The language is slowly losing popularity, so they must accept people who help improve it and make it popular again. And also, because the language is losing popularity, it is easier to become influential in the community.And if people are afraid of ruining their career in the tech industry, they can use pseudonymous and rely on a few people like me who are willing to show their faces.

The problem is that tutorials for Vulkan do not give enough context in their introductions. With Vulkan, you either have an entire graphical engine or you have nothing. Drawing a triangle is almost as complex as making the graphic engine for a SNES emulator.

@grips They can track you already, but this new money one is worse. They can, for example, use it to create money that expires over time to prevent you from accumulating wealth. They can also make some form of social credit score based on what you buy and deny you from purchase specific things.

The reason why I do not like the Rust is straightforward. A language should not dictate how you write your code; this is a job for a linting tool. C++ can easily be safer than Rust with a proper linting tool.

@grips @plotinusgroyper You do not even need to go outside frequently. Spending more time reading books, preferably those written 50+ years ago, will make you much healthier than people who consume social media and TV all day.

Code must have a 1:1 relationship to the logical concept you are trying to express. In the real world we have complex entities and events that we can only represent by complex code.
