       Ridiculing techno and house music in the 90ies did cultural damage. It was the child of Disco hate from decades earlier. The 90ies could have been much more enjoyable if rockism had not reared its divisive head.Rockism is a conservative sentiment, riding on a genre that was conceived by Black queer women and turned into a canvas for white male gatekeeping. And even worse, gatekeeping found its way into electronic music and ruined a lot there too.

       And even now, since linear youth culture succession of rebelling against what one's parents liked is no more: Some older people decry a loss of "generational rebellion" in the form of music. That "generatiinal rebellion" was never all encompassing, and in the 21st century it has switched to diverse mediums and a multitude of aesthetics. That is good.

       A part of me still feels resentment at the mere mention of grunge music and it's ubiquitous anthem. I was far too buisy being a trekkie and immersing myself in futuristic space and hacker culture to even consider "Teen Spirit". For me, buying into what I percieved to be peer pressure ridden teen culture with all it's celebrated angst was too depressing and conformist for me. I just wanted to think about imagining cool futures. Others felt differently. That is valid and the point.

If someone does not abide by the terms of the contract, then they are not covered by it. In other words: The intolerant are not following the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance. Since they have broken the terms of the contract, they are no longer covered by the contract, and their intolerance should NOT be tolerated.

       Seriously, Win11 and Microsoft:"This app can't share right now" is not an error message I can remotely take seriously. Give me an error code. Give me information and not stupid talk where I can hear the briefing "make it sound personal, less technical".It's condescending and bad.Anyone suggesting I should switch to Linux, back off. I am working with stuff that does not mesh with Linux.
