I mean, if you continue the racial argument, you could argue that some black populations had better genes than others, but to me, it seems more likely that culture, geography and climate colluded to create ideal conditions for civilisations to crop up in certain places. I'd say the Japanese and the Chinese aren't half bad either, even though it took them centuries to finally figure technology out; with China figuring it out about 50 years later than Japan. One thing I do believe in is that the harsher climate of Northern Europe did us a favour. The first winter must've been tough. It likely killed everyone who hadn't planned ahead and secured food and shelter through the summer, i.e. the smart hard-working people.
