Running Ethernet today was a bust. My drill is too underpowered to get through the subfloor and I don’t have the right drill bit anyway. And it also turns out there’s no outlets in the basement where I need them anyway. So I’m going to hire an electrician to install some outlets and a network installer to fish the cable through.

also it's kind of weird how in the Teen Titans cartoon they ensured that the characters only knew each other by their super names but in the live action show it's like none of them even have superhero names but they keep on getting lampshaded about who they're supposed to be

like aside from the Robins, Hawk, and Dove, I don't think any of the heroes have had their aliases outright stated? Except Koriand'r was referred to as "Starfire" in a throwaway line, and there was a moment where someone told Koriand'r that Blackfire was trying to get her to come home, without calling her Kormand'r, which stood out to meMeanwhile the villains are almost exclusively referred to by their supervillain names

oddly enough, in the cartoon series, Slade Wilson was almost always referred to as Slade, but in this he's almost always referred to as Deathstroke (but sometimes as Slade)anyway I'm paying attention to this instead of the storyline which keeps on vacillating between vaguely interesting and eyerolling

also I wonder if this series is supposed to connect with the DCCU or whator if the DCCU is even a single organized mass like the MCU is? I feel like DC is letting their various weird continuities remain more or less separateI mean, heck, in the DCCU they're calling a do-over on Suicide Squad, but it seems like Birds of Prey is going to be still connected to both of them? somehow?(not to mention the superpositional result of the Whedon vs. Snyder cut of Justice League)

also I have really got to go back and watch the whole Teen Titans cartoon series. I only ever saw bits and pieces of it when it first aired, back when the idea of a highly-serialized cartoon series was pretty much unheard of. Were there even any other cartoons that did that earlier?

I've been finally watching all of Regular Show in order and I've made it to the end of season 6. It's really neat how much the characters have evolved over the run of the show, but oh god CJ+Mordecai keeps on giving me some bad flashbacks to a really bad relationship I had a while ago.

Okay no they ended up like... oversimplifying it past the point of therapeutic benefit and they've just completely ignored the fact that CJ was a toxic/borderline person, and that Mordecai is just like... way too much of an appeaser.And it was Mordecai who finally decided to call it off with her but then in season 7 they're portraying it as Mordecai was dumped by her?

@person I've only seen the first episode of it, was going to wait until I finished Regular Show to watch moreCJ had some really bad tendencies. She wasn't in that many episodes but I see just how much everyone's always tiptoeing around her and trying to appease her because they're *afraid* of her; when she gets pissed she gets incredibly destructive and hurts people.
