Of course that goes for most of the time, or all of the time depending on how you measure :)

This poll was considered problematic by 1/9 people; please excuse any discomfort. It was a thought experiment that arose and I wondered what the community would think.https://social.coop/@flancian/114682703216005183

Of course the overarching goal is the #Revolution [[for the benefit of sentient beings]], that much can be assumed to be always present implicitly.

@icedquinn yes! Thank you for looking :) it sometimes goes down for maintenance/updates, but usually not more than a few minutes at a time; did you try retrying or visiting anagora.org/random to visit a random node?

I've been working on #ActivityPub support in the Agora, looking forward to testing! The idea is to offer a relatively time-agnostic entrypoint into people's writings.

@silverpill hi silverpill, thank you for taking a look 😁I still need to fix and implement a lot but yes, you should be able to already follow actors in the reference ("production") Agora, e.g. @flancian@anagora.org.

@silverpill @flancian@anagora.org oh thank you for catching that! And for using outbox -- I was surprised to learn that many implementations don't ever poll the outbox, IIUC?I'll try to fix this today!I checked your FEP activity, very cool! And will look further into Mitra. How are you testing behavior while developing? Manually or with an automated suite?

@silverpill I have fixed this, I think, could you try again? :)I'm testing a federation worker that will send new posts to followers periodically; I think it's working now so you should have received some posts from @flancian@anagora.org at mitra.social.

Burning bridges is easier than building them. It saddens me to see highly popular posts on how to block all Bluesky users in Mastodon (blanket-disabling BridgyFed, a project I am enthusiastic about).

@icedquinn what do you think about css grid? Have you tried it? I hadn't myself but Gemini used it in some Agora tasks and it seems pretty nice, I think it would be my go-to for table-like UX in the future.

For all my enthusiasm about #Bluesky as a complement to the ActivityPub-based Fediverse, the truth is that the experience I've had trying to appeal to their ban of the well intentioned and harmless Agora Bot has me worried. They have ignored my appeal and messages so far, precisely like you'd expect from Support in any random corporation. This coupled with the fact that someone can obviously ban an account globally for any reason or no reason is making me appreciate the #Fediverse even more.

@icedquinn 100% is slightly high :) It doesn't give a lot of confidence that the person will be able to steer the project long term maybe? But perhaps they will if they have enough experience from previous projects. We will have to see how software maintenance works in the LLM age I guess.
