@kaia I use "nushell" which allows me to just press `tab` and then I can just select whichever option I want with the arrow keys and pressing "enter".

@kaia My FTP sadly isn't 300W (only 150W) but I can do an 800W burst for 15 seconds (before tipping over and dying)...So I guess you can make 1 AI query in that time.

@selea Man has enlightened himself!(Swriously, it's why I advise to take a break off caffeine at least a few days per month).

@m0xEE The worst part is, if you were to reveal those designs in 2025, you'd be reasonable in assuming they are some kind of AI generated designs.@kaia

@lain Most people I know that love Tolkien, just love it because of the sheer amount of autism that went into the works. Not just the stories but the excruciating detail that was put into the world.@kaia

@selea And this is the kind of bullshit that makes people say "if buying isn't owning then piracy isn't stealing".

What was A practical skill very important when you were a teen (12-18), that is still still very useful today but most current teens no longer are able to do?Think concrete stuff like remounting a bicycle chain, not abstract stuff like critical thinking. For me it was definitely going to places without modern navigation aids.Just look at a map and write down the rough route and asking directions if I couldn't find it.And if I needed a train, I'd just look at those big charts at the station to find which trains I needed (or ask at the service booth).Nowadays a lot of teens rely on things like Google Maps and 9292 to figure out how to get there.I do use them now too cus they are convenient but if they don't work, I still can find out the old way.

@selea I do sometimes still need a map depending on circumstances. But I can just write down the route as if it's pacenotes for a rally and I often am able to memorize as well cus of having it written down but I do still keep the paper around in case I forgot while driving.I definitely do not remember licenseplates tho. @0xabad1dea >"which are of course sometimes wildly misleading/against journalistic ethics">Implying modern journalists have ethics and don't write misleading titles.

So the new AP has wireless reception so good... My phone doesn't want to roam. :gnulightened: Yes, @mikrotik's new hAP AX S's signal is so good, my phone just doesn't bother to roam.Even standing in the kitchen (2 floors down, each floor being a slabs of concrete) I still get ~60%.If you want to buy a single AP to cover most of the house... I think I can give this bugger quite a good recommendation.

@AngelaScholder If you go with MikroTik, you can use 1 AP to provide multiple SSIDs, which you can use for specific VLANs.Over here, an AP has 4 networks:- The main network (which puts the device in a VLAN based on the user that's logged in via RADIUS - My devices get put in VLAN1001, my parents get put in VLAN1002).- IoT network (VLAN1005).- Guest network (VLAN1004).- Open network with OWE (VLAN1006 - Which I turn on if we expect a lot of guests). So luckily no need to use 2 APs for 2 "different types of devices" (just to "extend the range").@mikrotik
