@bfdi @deutschesHeer auch wenn ich denke, dass der Großteil der User auf Mastodon ehr "traditionell" anti militärisch eingestellt ist, freue ich mich über den Zuwachs. Ich denke die momentane Situation der Welt zeigt deutlich, wie wichtig es ist als demokratischer Staat und für den Frieden trotzdem ein gut ausgerüstet und ausgebildetes Militär zu haben. Ich denke ich könnte unsere Gemeinschaft im Ernstfall nicht verteidigen, darum danke an alle die dort aufrichtig dienen.

@heiseonline ich frag mich ja was für Daten denn da von den Schülern erhoben werden müssen, dass vorher eine Einwilligung notwendig wird.

@heisedeveloper mag ja sein, dass seine technischen Kritikpunkte plausibel sind aber ich halte das alles nicht für Deal-Breaker und wird meiner Meinung nach zu viel wert in Details gelegt.Die anderen Aussage zum politisch/kulturellen halte ich schlicht weg für fragwürdig bis falsch. Mastodon hat in der Vergangenheit schon großen versuchen standgehalten von Troll Instanzen "überrollt" zu werden. Siehe z.b. Gab.

@heisedeveloper und so Aussagen wie "vielleicht überschätzen wir die Relevanz von sozialen Medien, und vielleicht wäre es gut, davon mehr Abstand zu nehmen." Halte ich auch nicht für besonders realistisch und zielführend.Der Bedarf ist offensichtlich dar. Sie existieren, sie werden bleiben und sie sind auch nützlich (wenn richtig verwendet). Jetzt kommt ein soziales Netzwerk, dass kulturelle Probleme angehen möchte und das meiner Meinung nach auch gut tut und es wird für "überflüssig" erklärt?

My understanding is that ROMs like e/os will not be affected by this, since they only use the open part of the Android project.The cool part is, that you can keep using all Apps (that don't require Google Play service) since it's still Android. And with MicroG there is even a good alternative for Apps somehow needing Google services.Best when using devices from manufactures open to this idea, like #fairphone #eos #custom_roms #android #google #deGoogle

@dulvui I don't see how custom ROMs could be affected by this, when many of them are built around the idea of not including any Google stuff.But it's clear that Google is more and more reducing the "open" part. Developing a custom ROM gets harder and harder. Perhaps we are already at the point where it would be less complicated to just fork the AOSP and completely divert from here on. But that would lead to incompatibility in the long run.So yes Android isn't the perfect solution.
