       @cjd @deetlebee @TechConnectify there are plenty of hybrids around, though at least in consumer models they tend to be gas not diesel. Apparently the biggest problem is that you now have most of the failure modes of both ICE and electric, plus the interconnect but minus the gas to drivetrain. Overall higher maintenance but yes eliminates range anxiety.Oh, and for PHEVs you have to worry about stale gas sitting in the tank for long periods.
