@wyliecoyoteuk Get an engineer in to work out what is load bearing, and work out where your electrics are. The YOLO sledgehammer method is only good for demolition.

@pvonhellermannn A camp, that they're concentrating an entire population into? Is there even a name for that?

Maslow never represented his hierarchy of needs as a pyramid. Further, here's what he wrote 23 years later:"self-actualization is not enough. Personal salvation and what is good for the person alone cannot be really understood in isolation. The good of other people must be invoked as well as the good for oneself. It is quite clear that purely inter-psychic individualist psychology without reference to other people and social conditions is not adequate."https://www.resilience.org/stories/2021-06-18/the-blackfoot-wisdom-that-inspired-maslows-hierarchy/ #maslow 🧵

Maslow, in 1943: "In actual fact, most members of our society who are normal, are partially satisfied in all their basic needs and partially unsatisfied in all their basic needs at the same time. A more realistic description of the hierarchy would be in terms of decreasing percentages of satisfaction as we go up the hierarchy of prepotency" ... #maslow

"For instance, if I may assign arbitrary figures for the sake of illustration, it is as if the average citizen is satisfied perhaps 85 per cent in his physiological needs, 70 per cent in his safety needs, 50 per cent in his love needs, 40 per cent in his self-esteem needs, and 10 per cent in his self-actualization needs." #maslow

When you look at it like this, the representation of Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a damning indictment of what our society fails to provide people with. #maslow

@CiaraNi I can see where the misconception comes from. Last week in Copenhagen I found myself with no clear way to buy a ticket at the the Metro station, and only saw a notice for downloading the app.

@kravietz I think the way that's phrased, it's less about Poles leaving and more about pushing the narrative of "needing" to tax less. Always think of the most self-serving intent with the Daily Mail.

@amerika @kravietz It's ironic since both of the families that I know that moved back did so because of the lack of health care and special needs provision. But, you know, Daily Mail....

How many partners is too many?I'm pretty open minded and don't usually judge, but even I start to raise an eyebrow at some point.
