@Chel @_ The one we went to was the SoDo one, and it was honestly pretty empty for a Friday. Also they have 15 packs of tamales, so... I'm a fan.

@decis @scarly Any sort of prescriptive code design philosophy irritates me by default. I've been so annoyed with this lately, corporate code people are especially obsessed with style and structure standards.Code is art. Also you haven't lived until you've used Java and instantiated a FactoryFactoryFactoryFactory with dependency injection...

I've always known I could hack the brain using audio. I've talked frequently with bewildered bystanders where I say things like "I sync my brain to the beats of the music and it makes the codes go better". But it's only recently when I've been seriously down on spoons that I've understood this to the depth I do now. I can literally tweak my mood with mostly audio input. Stressed? myNoise Japanese garden -> instantly calmer. Need inspiration? Akiko Shikata. (Especially her Hymmnos stuff, but Harmonia is also good.) Need to feel a little badass? Upbeat 90s rock-pop (Smash Mouth, Vallejo, etc). Deep coding mojo? Psy-trance, etc. This is powerful knowledge.
