@historyofpunkrock Would have to be "Sandinista" from "The only band that matters!" Nonetheless a pretty awesome selection as depicted in your post. Nice.

@historyofpunkrock The band's biggest hit was 'Hersham Boys'. Sham 69 took their name from the remnants of a piece of graffiti in the area which made reference to when Walton and Hersham Football Club secured the Athenian League title in 1969. The Athenian League folded in 1984.

@historyofpunkrock There are about 8 that are special but to recount the story attach to each one would take to much effort and time. Most of the albums listed are pretty amazing actually. Brilliant post.

@historyofpunkrock The photo by Penny Smith of Topper is just one of the many iconic pics she took of The Clash! She took one of the the most famous photographs in the history of rock βnβ roll β the cover image for London Calling by The Clash. Pennie hardly ever exhibits her work, as she is still a full time working photographer. The photograph shows Paul Simonon about to smash up his bass during a show at The Palladium, New York City on 21 September 1979.

@historyofpunkrock 1977 is usually accepted as ground zero for punk rock. The year the genre truly exploded as it achieved mainstream notoriety and the likes of The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Damned each released their debut albums, kickstarting a youth movement that saw bands burst into life anywhere there were kids to form them. Conversely, by 1980 the genre had been declared dead. So never mind the bollocks about punk being dead, 1982 may have been the most crucial year in punk history.

@historyofpunkrock The Descendents Band Milo Logo was designed by Jeff βRatβ Atkinson, a friend of the band. The logo was based on the band's frontman, Milo Aukerman, who is often regarded as one of the most distinctive voices and personalities in punk rock.
