@graf Most people streaming on there would be using github.com/sorayuki/obs-multi-rtmp anyway. Meaning all you need to do is give people HD and SD endpoints. This scales infinitely at neglible bandwidth cost, compared to trying to dance with GPUs.

@graf Sure, it makes sense for static video uploads. But, the upload frequency for those is so low a single GPU (or even APU) is plenty for the transcoder queue to run near instantly.

@graf Yes, CPU encoders are slow as fuck (they're still nice if you want to run best preset).A single A380 can do ~300-500 fps (depending on AV1 vs H264, resolution, bitrate). You sure that's not plenty for what you have in queue now? It's your money if you want to buy more than of those, all I'm saying is that you're hugely overestimating the amount of hardware needed here.
