       @ZachWeinersmith @wordshaper maybe they think you're in the pocket of Big Mars, and you're just pushing everyone else away, so that the billionaires can have it all to themselves.   When you publish "A City on Venus" saying how great THAT will be, to convince everyone to go there instead, their suspicions will be confirmed.        @futurebird Hrm, it would be just a fancy search query.. so what masto needs is a way for users to define their own search queries.. and share good queries with others.. but without allowing computationally abusive queries, or just have a good caching layer? .. and then render it as a feed, like rss, so anyone could use a feed reader... Or the whole masto frontend IS just a feed reader.. hrm..Hey, if you don't want nerds, don't nerd-snipe 😅

       @futurebird More people also need to be willing to buy used and repaired items.  It seems to be mostly garage sales or thrift stores where you can get used items, and that often means used and neglected.  There would be a business acquiring such items for next to nothing, repairing them, and reselling for a profit, if there's a market for it.  I've seen it with bikes, but not much else.

       @Nonilex Israel and Iran are both playing Trump.  Netanyahu gets to start a war to distract from his political problems at home, timing it so that Trump could make himself feel better about his embarrassing birthday party by dropping a great big phallic symbol, er bomb, and pretending he's powerful.  Iran chooses to give Trump an off-ramp from his asinine war that yes they would hurt from, but would be far more costly to the US.  Trump is in control of nothing, and everyone but him can see it
