@lauren @i_understand A bit of history. Mastodon was built and designed primarily by LGBTQ individuals. Mastodon is engineered to protect said individuals from the abuses they suffered on Twitter. That is why the toxic parties leaving Twitter have gained little or no traction on Mastodon. Additionally, rather than building a proprietary walled garden system, they instead chose to use the existing ActivityPub [1]. @lauren @i_understand I find this a bit confusing. Mastodon is indeed a bit different but it isn't rocket science. I figured it out and I'm over seven decades old. And what does "profiling" mean in this instance? Apparently I'm somehow missing large roving mobs of Twitter Haters stalking Mastodon with torches and pitchforks...

@itnewsbot #ChromeOS has a long history of change. I was a ChromeOS beta tester over a dozen years ago and its evolution has been impressive (he types on his chromebook). I define ChromeOS as the simplest, least expensive and painless #linux platform to admin and maintain in large numbers. Hence its strong usage in education and some enterprise settings. But I doubt it will ever be sexy enough for many...
