To replace Reddit we need a "fediverse" of discussion board. Basically AITA.discuss would be one board, pics.discuss another, etc. Any 'discuss" instance could include or ban any other topic on their site. No company would own any topic. Just open sourced the idea. Maybe someone will open source some source code for it ;)

Since the industrial revolution, industry has not been responsible for the side effects of their products. They are able to be profitable because it's future generations that will have to foot the bill for handling the waste and the side effects of that waste. Current generations are footing the bill for some past industry behaviors, but the worst is yet to come. And we see it coming. But in the name of profits, we're doing virtually nothing about it.All in the name of capitalism.

@ghazi What should Israel do in response to Oct 7? Imagine if the grandchildren of every group that had been displaced by colonization went about massacring the grand children of their colonizers. The Maori could kill all New Zealanders. Indigenous people across the world could go into the homes of all Amerians, Canadians, and Australians, and behead their children while at breakfast.
