@danmcd @mekkaokereke Just drives me nuts, you know. When they say Washington crossed the Deleware, they say Washington did it. They dont say "A wealthy white guy crossed the Deleware." Maybe they should, puts it in perspective.

@fkamiah17 @nullagent people literally told me I had a death wish because I wouldn't entertain moving to Canada for my "safety". I was unwilling to use my privilege to save myself and not others. You fight this shit where you are or it spreads everywhere you could ever be.

@futurebird My family remodeled a house when I was in middle school (mid 90s). I had to _remove_ the carpet from one. AND the pad underneath. Just thinking about it makes me want to take 3 consecutive showers. That wasnt the worst though. I was tasked with removing the popcorn ceiling using a flat hoe. I found the smoking spot in the garage when it caught on the part that was fused to the drywall with tar. Pulled the tool out my hands and I tripped and landed on my butt.
