If I understand correctly brain science suggests that memories are, at best, inexact and they get more wibbly-wobbly every time they are accessed.One of the weirdest parts of getting older is acknowledging the stuff I remember to be a certain way probably never was that way entirely and that much of it is held together with convenient fictions and semi-fictions.When times are good this can be fun and quite enjoyable. When times are uncertain, the impulsive incessant questioning and fretting about what is real and true is infuriating and exhausting.
