@wjmaggos @oliphant Like if you keep sending me spam, and I block you after tell you to stop, and then you go out on the internet and bemoan that I’ve blocked you and that you are being silenced. That YOUR speech is being censored.Yes. That is exactly what happened. I (or an instance) has no obligation to listen to stuff we, as a community, don’t want to hear. And it’s generally posted on each instance what it deems “bad behavior”. I will absolute block an instance breaks rules here.

@wjmaggosThat one resulted in a whole instance going down cause the owner was mad.The current thing about being blocked/silenced is some guy Matt Blaze who was bemoaning a single instance saying it was going to silence him.That is fine. If they think his behavior warrants that, then good for them. But the guy was kind of being a little over dramatic about it.

Feel liberated. Quit a “Yacht Rock" band I was in. Like in two and a half years, it's gigged 9 times.NINE TIMES.Rehearsals are 45 minutes away. They have dreams of being a "Corporate" band, but honestly, the singing sucks. When I joined, they had a kick ass singer. Now, the other one is the lead, and she sucks.I hadn't been attending rehearsals as much cuz I just didn't think it was going anywhere. And now the drummer is having foot surgery and wanted us to chip in for rent? Fuck that!

Anyhow, that Yacht rock band, the singer.....fucking delusions of adequacy. Constantly will stop songs cause she can never figure out her IEMs. Doesn't sing in tune. Kinda doesn't have a good voice for singing.Ugh…..so good to NOT be wasting my time playing at little shitty show things or bars. FUCK THAT.I'd rather not play than do that shit. NO MORE COVER BANDS. As result of quitting, I got my X-32 Rack back. With the DL32 expansion and Midas 8 port IO box. That should be fun to play with. Might maybe sell off parts of it. Like I don't need it now……as I also have an Allen Heath CQ20b…..which is just so cool and 1/4 the size of all the x32 stuff.
