       @wizard I remember once reading an incredible post on the (long gone, sadly) WotC forums where someone wrote an in-universe guide to using "Stone to Flesh" for gourmands.It included discussions of what properties of stone result in what changes to flavor, texture, toughness, suitability for culinary styles, and so on.There was ample consideration of "marbling," of course.I wish I'd saved it.

       @wizard oh wow, I never even considered preservation, that's great.I don't play much D&D anymore, but when I'm writing in similar worlds, I often like the idea that there are "non-adventurer" ways to master a single spell or two, over a period of years. This way I can justify the occasional weird magical business or special ritual based on a fun spell interaction without needing to consider the high-level wizard behind it.This would be a great case for it. Maybe a Stone Chef's Guild

       @rcz @rysiek I agree! I've enjoyed gthumb and it hasn't exactly felt abandoned but it would be cool to see it get a little more polish and attention.
