@joeligj12 @hund doas is nice but can you even ditch sudo completely?

@hund it looks like the default package manager needs sudo. why even use doas when I need to keep sudo on the system.

@hund ArchIf I remove sudo and pacman the alternatives stop working as usual. Even paru, a package manager requires those to work it seems. Yeah doesn't sound right, I just confirm that's the case.

@hund i just have to keep testing this and look for alternatives because what I was trying was to remove sudo and pacman, and the alternatives need sudo and/or pacman. i have said "the default package manager" needs sudo, and i meant the alternative i was trying to replace it with.

@kev many websites also run really bad on mobile and people install dedicated apps to visit those websites in particular. the fact that gemini requires a different browser isn't even that bad since it has the potential to be used for many websites, not just one.what's lacking now is just value aka content.

@kev I'm just pointing out the fact that people don't complain when they have to install apps that are able to visit one website exclusively. The experience, talking about mobile and I don't know much about Gemini but, I see that different browsers show the content differently so maybe is up to the browser to create that better experience with the content. But I must admit, not having images kind of goes too far for me.

@hund Gentoo is amazing. I'm using custom kernel based on 5.10.13 on a Thinkpad x230, started from a minimal version and I'm only adding whats needed. Compile time seems to be dependent on what I'm adding or removing but it takes mostly 1-2 minutes.

Lastpass or Bitwarden the concept is almost the same. You have to trust them and you are exposing your data to extra riscs by sending them your data. But do you really need them? Probably not.Why not Keepass + Syncthing or Myki and sync between your devices? Phone + Desktop/Laptop + NAS

@joeligj12 I believe you can just export from Bitwarden to json format and then import that file to Keepass.

Yeah let's stop professionals from talking, that's too scientific method for us, we are more about believing, like a religion, a cult, we don't like science wen it doesn't work for us, let's censor anyone that talks about facts before the TV does, everyone knows that's where the absolute truth comes from.
