All these companies and corporations that made record profits during the height of the pandemic that are now "laying off" employees. Here's an idea: cut the CEOs' salaries by half and add that to the payroll - oh, and make them pay taxes. Capitalism is such a scam. #livingwage #economicjustice

Same here! I’ve read on here recently that the fediverse and Mastodon hasn’t been a safe space for Black and brown people. Very sorry to hear that. As a Black person, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, so I’m staying put - for now. I want nothing to do with anything Jack Dorsey is involved in. Frankly, I’m tired of new social media platforms that launch with “invites only.” It’s giving a “all the cool kids are here!” vibe. Now people are begging for invites and even trying to sell them. @cenobyte It’s so sad what’s happening to the Twitter. I had met some truly amazing people there and being Black, it was a dynamic platform used to give a voice to the marginalized. Silver lining, I believe more people now know the pitfalls of the internet being controlled by corporations and single individuals.
