@apps Is 3.21.0 available through F-Droid? If it isn't: is usually the Google store versione more up to date?I'm testing both, I'm just curious.. Thanks.

Thanks to @louisffourie I finally know that, this beautiful fractals that I found in a construction site when I was 10, are in fact naturally occurring dendritic crystalsMore info about this phenomenon: https://www.prehistoricoregon.com/learn/what-is-a-mineral/dendrite/#Geology #Fractals #DendriticFractal #PhonePhotography #Stone #Nature

@calculsoberic For a moment I though: I'm the only one who answered, what if I'm giving him homework?! which doesn't make sense... but sometimes I act on strange ideas 😅 I'm sure there are lots of people interested! And thanks for your Fediverse article 👌

@calculsoberic Of all the apparently random stuff you said today, this could actually work.Re-reading all your posts because they might not be random jokes

@calculsoberic I know, but now I'm going to search for wisdom in all your comments, whether they have an undercurrent of critique or are flat-out jokes. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to try to decipher the words of my new Oracle and listen to Sepultura for clues.

@markwitton Congrats on the paper! But does swallowing the hadrosaur whole have anything to do with the lips? It might be very common, but I don't think I've seen an image of a T. rex eating like that.

@markwitton That makes sense, having the T. rex go all Komodo dragon shows all the relevant parts, but I had to ask just in case I was missing something. And it's a beautiful piece, by the way. Thank you!

Last summer I found this heat-stricken swift on a sidewalk. To my knowledge (and correct me if I'm wrong) the first thing you have to do is carefully pick it up and give it some height so it can fly (they are used to take off from high places). If that fails, bring it to the shade to cool down, then repeat. After trying and failing, I brought this fella home while I waited for a friend to take us to the wildlife rescue center.#UrbanWildlife #Birds #Swift #HeatStroke #WindowFriday

@calculsoberic In my opinion, you don't need to indicate anything, it's pretty obvious. Unless this question is an absurdist joke, in that case it went over my head, but that'd be my fault, not yours.

@calculsoberic I honestly believe that's part of the fun of the absurd, being disoriented for a moment. The first time I read you I doubted, but then I got it and that made it a lot funnier!

@alexwild Hello, if I may ask: when you see an isolated winged ant and you don't know its species, is there a way to know, on the spot, if it's a queen or a male?I do alright with the species I'm familiar with (I just observe them around, I'm not trained), but when I have nothing to compare them to, I can't be sure. Maybe there's an anatomical feature that could help? Anything that looks similar on males but not queens from a wide range of species? And thanks for all your posts!

@futurebird @alexwild Curious, I usually get the feeling that an individual is a male or a queen but, after reading you, I realize that the features you mention are the exact ones I notice. I guess I developed an intuition over the years. Still, this works as a good rule of thumb but it'd be nice to have a fool-proof way to be sure without having to become a Myrmecologist 😅 Thank you so much!
