       @deezthugs No one is going to force you to join a cooperative.Social security is a social policy, it isn't, precisely, socialism. All socialism proper means is that workers own the productive output of their work and are given its profit.Most modern socialists are against central planning and state socialism, like classic state communism.

       @schestowitz What do you mean? Surely if one works on GPL licensed software, regardless of whether they are using github or not, they are giving to the community, not to proprietary software.Are you concerned that MS will also use the software and therefore benefit?

       @schestowitz I wouldn't say the United States has a bad healthcare system. There is no country better to have cancer treated in, for example. Well, if you can afford it.The problem is that the US has an overly individualistic culture that is distrustful of government and science. There is strong sentiment of anti-intellectualism.

       @fatboy I've had nothing but joy using OpenBSD in the past. It's a fantastic system. If you haven't tried it, I hugely recommend it.
