@pixel eh, this is kind of the risk one takes by abusing country codes for things unrelated to that countryI get notified of non-country-code TLDs being deactivated and I can tell you it's pretty much exclusively big companies who bought their name as a TLD despite having no good reason to do that and then realizing later that having a TLD is expensive. (ones recent enough to still be in my email trash: .kerrylogistics, .lipsy, .dabur, .natura, .guardian, .bananarepublic, .oldnavy, .rocher, .kinder)

hot take: I strongly dislike the use of the word "fitness" in the exercise sense and I'm surprised it survived the wave of deprecations of Words That Are Commonly Used But Are Kind Of Insulting If You Think About Them that's happened over the past n yearsthings aren't just "fit" with no qualifiers. fit *for what*? there are lots of things a person can do that don't require any particular physical attributes. even within high-intensity physical tasks, lifting heavy things and running long distances are things you have to train for separately if you want to be able to do them.shouldn't we, like, try not to imply some people are generally "unfit" without qualifiers? even for objects without feelings, we usually say "(un)fit for purpose" to hint toward this concept without needing to explain the task, but that'd be a weird-ass thing to say about a person.

Do people generally consider it useful when someone you want to follow has multiple topic-oriented accounts?I know I've wished for the ability to follow e.g. "this person's cool projects but not their streams of 40 consecutive shitposts in five minutes" before, but kind of dropped the idea after deciding most people wouldn't tag their posts well enough for a feature like this to work.(Context: considering swapping out mastodon for gotosocial, and in the process maybe splitting out @'projects/@'catpictures/@'inane_shitposts.)

the autistic urge to answer questions accurately even when doing so will cause people to assume this is a problem that needs solving(doctor checkin form is asking if i have ever had any of a long list of conditions, one is infertility, i had a vasectomy at 24 and then started HRT later and everyone warned me that this may make me infertile and i was like "fuck yeah bonus infertility!")
