       I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Green’s Theorem, is in fact, Stokes in two dimensions, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Kelvin-Stokes in two dimensions as interpreted by Heaviside’s vector field operator notation. Green’s theorem is not a theorem unto itself, but rather a specific case of a fully functional fundamental theorem of calculus in n dimensions made possible by an ecosystem of vector analysis (including line integrals), analytic geometry, complex analysis (including residue theorem and the Cauchy integral theorem), topology (including Jordan’s curve theorem) and much more!
