it's a bit of a shame that by "hit that point", I mean I've successfully ship of theseus'd this entire part of the game to make it flexible and scalable enough not to need long haul trucks or cims commuting by road trip anymore.The vanilla passenger trains seat 240 and cap at 150km/h, busier lines need either bigger or faster trains - thankfully, the workshop is full of train nerds lovingly crafting trains for every occasion.You need a mod like Improved Public Transport 2 or Transport Lines Manager to actually spawn enough trains to keep up with demand.I use Modular Train Stations by Titan, to build my own stations by placing down platforms and connecting up rails, so I can have more than one track going through it and add or move platforms when I need to. (It's less work than it sounds.)Fine Road Anarchy and Node Controller lets me make more complicated junctions (read: not at right angles, doesn't force trains to turn at impossible angles and/or derail from pathfinding errors).I use RAILWAY 2's replacement rails because they look nicer, but also because until the latest patch, the stock rails for some reason had speed limit, and it was set really low??
