@tero That would make it difficult to sell advertising without assurance a post would be seen. Conversion metrics are difficult, too. There is no built-in click tracking and obsfuscated URLs seem to be discouraged on the fediverse.

@gyptazy That’s cool! I am self-hosting on a RPi and thinking about running snac. I don’t know how I missed fedi relays. I’ve been exploring the Fediverse organically. I use Toot, which allows you to see local and federated timelines of servers (even if you don’t have an account). I wondered how small instances could thrive without this app feature. Now I know! 😊
