@BrodieOnLinux it’s why I like it when I’m at my house in Arizona other then one small Northern portion the entire state does not respect daylight saving time and is on its own time.  it does make it annoying when people call you at 4 or 5 am though. But my phone is on silent tell 7.

@BrodieOnLinux I know it’s not possible but what I would actually like to see it’s factual numbers on distro usage. Because people that I speak to know about KDE and Ubuntu and they are not tech related or skilled in anyway. All I know is when they see gnome they say they will never be able to use that cause it looks so different from what they’re used to. Which I feel gnome has to understand they are not a good transition for normal ppl. Ppl just want to go now an learn later.

@BrodieOnLinux it’s truly dark times, but I definitely understand it all. It’s just kind of sad. I mean, I agree with the people who don’t want the telemetry. But sometimes maybe once every five years it wouldn’t be a bad thing, but I feel bad actors would come in sometime down the line. Even if all it captured was your operating system and nothing else.

@BrodieOnLinux what I am waiting for is the specific one that runs just basic Wayland and runs their entire operating system inside of X Wayland.I feel it would be interesting to see from an actual company?

@BrodieOnLinux @aliceif They could get that info the way Garuda Linux does when asking for support you have to insert your garuda-inxiwhich provides just about as much information as you could ever want and makes troubleshooting at least in my case much easier and I’m not even at tech. But  it is all user submitted when they ask a question on the form if they actually want help. it could offer 2 send a scale down version when the command completes.

@BrodieOnLinux I hope it eventually gets tamed down or fully removed.i’m personally a fan of the older style with a bit of 3-D rather than flat.But in terms of a store, especially on Linux , where there could be multiple de’s I feel that restriction is moot. It just doesn’t make any sense. An if flathub wants to be that way they should just say they are an App Store for gnome guideline apps. An stop wasting all our time. Android App Store is all over an it still functions.

@BrodieOnLinux The major thing flathub is missing. Is elementary’s pay what you want for applications. Let’s say I like krita and I want to pay for it through a store, not through kdes website but why is there no pay what you want button? We always complain about people not being paid in foss.  Flathub claims it’s a store. Where are the store features.I just would not waste my time with their platform. It’s toxic and reeks of elitism.

@BrodieOnLinux I’m in the I don’t really like it. Personally I do not like the plug. It’s not sturdy. I’ve had to replace my nephews switch eight times due to it breaking. Same with a iPhone 16 not that lightning was better. My main issue is the wall plugs. There are some very very cheap ones that catch fire out there that are sold at petrol stations and most people like their operating system. Just buy whatever and that’s gonna be a costly mistake.

@BrodieOnLinux there’s always the Trinity project with KDE 3.5. And it’s still going strong with updates and all that it’s actually really nice to use. It is busy, but if my system ever died, I would probably migrate towards it.
