@StillIRise1963 I had to see a gynecology oncologist recently. He refused to wear a mask and then dared to interrogate me on how long I was planning to wear mine.I dunno, as long as doctors seem intent on making my disabilities worse???

I think some people learned the wrong lesson from the horrors of eugenics in the 20th century. One correct lesson: no genetics are inferior.A lesson some people seem to have learned: some genetics are inferior, but it's bad to kill the people with them directly. (Indirectly seems fine, for some reason — because while it's sad, some people are just naturally more likely to die due to "unchangeable" societal structures.)#Disability #DisabilityJustice #COVID

So I have to get more blood work done. As COVID ramps up even further, fun. The most difficult part is that I need to not be stressed during the test, which is completely impossible when sitting in a waiting room full of unmasked patients and then in an enclosed space with an unmasked phlebotomist.I don't know what to do. I can try to see if an at-home place will do it, but that just introduces unknown anxieties about whether the person will mask inside my house.#NEISvoid #MECFS #POTS

@GrapheneOS I think this post exemplifies a difference in approach that's causing issues. For disabled folks, a lack of accessibility is a bug, not a missing feature. So our position is that it should be prioritized higher, not lumped into general features and improvements. Focusing on things that provide the most benefit to users overall leaves out disabled people and accessibility by default, because we're a minority. One has to prioritize accessibility outside that subjective calculation.
