Got my new starfive visionfive1 hooked up to my network and I've already got it building inkscape. Another machine, even lower powered, should help with the #riscv64 #guix porting effort.

Finalized my big pull request today in #guix to adjust the bootstrap order of the go compilers. I tried to cut down some on the large amount of inheritance but there's still more to do with the many phases. 30 minutes to get through passport control to leave #CDG. Seriously unimpressed. At least we weren't in the group who missed our flight because it took so long. We got to the check-in counter 3.5 to 4 hours before the flight and spent the whole time from them until boarding going from line to line.I can navigate it faster when it's just me but it was terrible with kids.

Happy #Rosh Hashanah! This year for our new fruit we're going to use a mango from our neighbor's tree. We had a list problem this summer so we only got 2 mangos from their tree. * We only harvest the mangos that fall on our side of the fence.

After years of dodging phone calls from the internet company they finally got us on the line for our free upgrade. Got the technician out to pull fiber the last 20 meters through the duct and a new box. They even "accidentally" ran some Ethernet for me from the first floor to the second! Upgrade complete, we've moved from 100/2 to 600/100.

My kids are playing #Minecraft together nicely on their Nintendo switches but they're having some trouble when they enable mods in game, with lagging. I'm willing to spend the money for them to get a realms subscription so they can play together but what's the fun in that? Nintendo has instructions for hosting a bedrock server on Ubuntu, which are basically "untar and run from this directory, and maybe modify these files." I can use patchelf on #guix to make the binary run and it looks like
