       @atomicpoet Just thinking out loud here... What about verification as a means of accountability?  Allow anyone who uses their real name be "verified" so they think twice before posting bile or disinformation?  Verification at the instance level?  What has driven me crazy is the ability to spread garbage (by malicious actors and average Joe's) without any ramifications.  Totally open to arguments that anonymity is critical to fediverse ecosystem, though (e.g. doxing risk, whistleblowers).
