@lowqualityfacts according to multiple references the historical character now known as Jesus was brown skinned, bald, and hunchbacked, no taller than 4' 6", with the features of an Iraqi Jew. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_appearance_of_Jesus?wprov=sfla1

@JMaverickJacks1 Only the MCU Blade is American. The comic book Blade was born in 1929 London. Ah the one drop rule. If that was still a thing I wouldn't be black, I'd be Syrian. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_%28character%29?wprov=sfla1

@JMaverickJacks1 Good on you! I'm still surprised that the Imaro, S.T.A.R. Corps and Lady Cop pages I built are sill there. Back in the day a lot of black heroes from DC and Marvel didn't have pages so I built them. Quite a few like Chunk were later absorbed into list pages.

@JMaverickJacks1 oh I got into huge wars with this user called JGreb who kept editing, merging, or deleting pages I built about black superheroes. Kept getting told by mods about how I needed to stop accusing him of bias and just assume good faith. Back then it seemed so important. And now I realize how ridiculous it all was.

@grammargirl I don't know what Twitter was for other people, but for me it was originally therapeutic for the same reasons that I play videogames. And a big part of learning to write for Twitter in the early days, meant getting complicated ideas across in as simple a word spurt as possible. Twitter still awards brevity and simplicity, so users trying to communicate major concepts use graphics or moving pictures. In the 90s I remember making some notes about city morlocks, illiterate human worker drones for whom a modern AR graphical language would be created, never requiring them to learn any traditional languages. Only the eloigarchs who owned everything would remain literate.

@aral it probably makes more sense to send your #Mozilla foundation donations to @servo to help them get their Verso browser out the door. #browsers #firefox

@stux in the future even suggesting that we tax the oligarchs is probably going to become a capital crime akin to treason.

@futurebird maybe they did make those drawings on more ephemeral media that did not survive, or maybe there was a prohibition against capturing the human form.
