@foone I guess you need to both know the rotation and track. So a small cartridge for the coil to sit in could work if all drives has same size of coil. I say doable for single side 3.5 and 5.25.

@foone Put a wide ffc between pcb and elastomer and lead to an external mcu?But I have no idea if possible to drive the lcd using io-pins directly. Perhaps there are general lcd-driver-ics?
