@grammargirl @fuzzface @jalefkowit Have you tried cleaning the Lightning port? They get dust in them and can lose contact with the plug. I use a pair of wooden toothpicks, almost like chopsticks, and can pull quite a bit of junk out with them. May save you a trip to the Apple Store.

@john Keep in mind that it was just a year ago that generative AI in both image and text had breakthroughs that instantly made them consumer-level products. The “short term” gets shorter all the time. There are always surprises.

Finally got my hands on a @frameworkcomputer laptop, the 13" model. I'm impressed so far. Decent benchmarks, excellent keyboard, the display is nice and doesn't run too hot. It's got an AMD Ryzen 7040 CPU, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM 475 GB onboard storage an a 1-TB expansion card. Framework's laptops are modular, you can mix/match and upgrade components easily. I'd buy one of these (so far).
