       @evan As I was following the story, it occurred to me as an outside observer that it will take a great deal of work, attentiveness, empathy, and willingness to listen to these stories before even considering inserting myself into the conversation.

       @evan I went through a parallel process in the past few days as I sought to move instances from mastodon.social. There were many choices, but in the end I discovered what was important to me was the ability to built trust with the administrators of the instance, their policies, their server block list, their community.
