       @strypey While I whole-heartedly agree, the difference is negligible and not a significant-enough portion of the bulk of data moving to and fro on the network.For potentially more significant results with your attempt at bringing more awareness to the carbon emissions arising from data, aim at cloud storage, music and video streaming users and take your best shot! :)

       @Indigo find something you enjoy doing and do it. You odds of meeting people doing just that themselves will be greater and within them the probability of meeting someone with a genuine shared interest will grow as well.Worked for me. 13 years and we are still strongly in love. No relation is perfect so expect adjustements and compromises but healthy communication will help to iron everything out.        @anders what do you use/how do you host your own email? Mail In A Box or you set and manage IMAP and SMTP services yourself?

       @anders @fastmail hum ok so fastmail is your host so it's not self-hosting as I understand it (your own services on your own hardware/virtual hardware)¿

       @anders @fastmail Ok cool. Still looking for alternatives to Mail In A Box to roll my own. Definitely will be self-hosting everything I can in 2024, starting with Forgejo or gitea in the upcoming weeks
