It makes me sad to see so many people saying “I’m not anyone” when introducing themselves on social media. Um, yeah, you are someone. You are you and everyone in the world has something to say and often a lot more people are interested than you may think. Unfortunately I think a lot of peoples thinking has been trained that unless you have lots of followers / you’re famous / you post controversial opinions then you’re not worthy of being heard. You are.

All five of us made it (although it was a little touch and go at times)! Trackers different but consensus seems to be about 27km and 44,000 steps. Bit scared of tomorrow which is about the same distance. Vigo is a massive city, not sure we’ll get to see much other than walking from one end to the other! #caminodon #AdventuresOfCass2024

This is pretty bullshit, there are very valid reasons most people don’t cycle to work. Chief among them being the lack of actually safe, properly separated bike lanes and car drivers who actively, and just through carelessness, target bike riders. Second toot I’ve seen today from users arguing that blind users should stop asking for alt text, that they should be grateful if they get any at all (regardless of quality) and they’re being too demanding. Really makes me sad, one of my favourite things about Mastodon has been the communal push to making it be truly accessible #Accessibility
