       @lowqualityfacts the game is normally called Rounders and was played by women and children at cricket games to pass the time. Hence the common terms between the two games. After American independence Cricket fell out of favour but Rounders developed into modern baseball, or so the story goes...

       It's blowing a gale at the moment and one of the big tower cranes isn't correctly aligned and is flashing its lights and sounding an alarm. The police are in attendance but can't really do much. I assume a crane engineer has been called in as the wind is expected to get stronger overnight...

       @otyugh @onlmaps By reverse, I can't believe that only 65% of Brits are monolingual, I would have thought it much higher, even more so since foreign language education has crashed in the last few years.

       I think that the social iterations here are getting better all the time. Most of the people I knew from the other place have migrated over and again it's interesting toots and a lot less stressful.I still look at the other place, now and then, but it's hard to see anything as it's drowning in adverts and you can't see anything. The few people left there that I follow are shouting into the abyss, and I wonder how long they will put up with it.
