@bmdv Die ideologiegetriebene Politik des BMDVs muss ein Ende haben. Die Europäische Union kann sich eine verblendete, im 20. Jahrhundert verhaftete Politik à la Wissing so wenig leisten wie die Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Peinlich, wie die FDP jetzt nicht nur die Bundespolitik sondern ganz Europa in Geiselhaft nimmt. @tante What I'm missing in @jacob s argument is the point that centralised networks don't scale very well either. They tend to burn through a lot of venture capital before they can make that money back by selling ads and virtual medals. The problem that I see here is that in many if not most cases, this leads to a point where the platform ends up in a state where nobody would use it if it were not for the lock-in effects created during the burn phase.

@futurebird I think technically there is a groups feature already. Not sure if it can be utilized the way you imagine though. There is that service called https://a.gup.pe/ which generates group-accounts on the fly. Lemmy channels can also be followed as groups from Mastodon (but I think you can't directly post to Lemmy channels from Mastodon). Maybe those things are worth a look?
